Teachers will be able to earn up to 11.5 SCECHs at no additional cost.
The Michigan Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) and Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) are pleased to host this hands-on course for teachers and other educators interested in bringing lessons on agriculture, the environment, energy, and related careers to their classrooms.
Attending the academy at the Kellogg Biological Station in Hickory Corners, Michigan, will provide networking opportunities with other educators. Teachers will gain insight, fresh ideas, new resources, and ready-to-use lesson plans. Presentations and field trips will cover topics including:
- Food and Dairy Safety
- Agricultural Best Management Practices
- Environmental Quality
- Energy
- Careers in Agriculture and the Environment
