The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) held a virtual Michigan Materials Management Conference on February 13-14, 2024. The Governor signed an eight-bill package in December 2022 modernizing Michigan’s solid waste law. The conference focused on the law changes and provided regional, county, and municipal planners; landfill, compost, and recycling facility operators; and consultants alike with valuable information and tools to foster compliance, advance a circular economy, reduce our carbon footprint, and address climate change.
