February 2023

This course is comprised of 2 sessions held on February 22 - 23, 2023

Session 1: February 22 - 9:00 AM - 11:15AM

Session 2: February 23 - 9:00 AM - 11:15AM

The purpose of this virtual webinar course it to teach the principles of cross connection control as they relate to public water supply systems. The need for continued training in the field of cross connection control in Michigan is readily apparent given the major incidents of backflow that have occurred in water utilities in recent years. Cross connections on public water supply distribution systems continue to pose a distinct threat to potable water supplies.  Learn how cross connections affect public health, the potential risks and liabilities, how to conduct surveys and carry out enforcement actions, the two types of hydraulic conditions that cause backflow, and backflow prevention assemblies and their applications.

Each session is approved for 0.2 CECs in the technical category for drinking water operators. To be eligible for CECs, you must attend the entire session, answer all webinar poll questions, and be a paid registrant.
