What if I can’t attend?

If you are unable to attend this mandatory event, you must have permission from your Division Director.

What do I need to bring?

  • Bring your cell phone – check in and one or two activities will require you to scan a QR code.
  • Please do not bring your laptop.
  • Wear your EGLE name tag.

What should I wear?

Business casual with comfortable shoes.

What about Parking?

  • Staff who have a monthly pass for parking in Lansing are encouraged to park in their usual location.

  • Staff parked at the hotel should use the sky bridge to walk over to the Lansing Center.

  • There are 200 parking spaces reserved in the Pine Lot by the Library of Michigan (access from Pine, Kalamazoo and Allegan Streets) for EGLE staff to use – first come, first served.  We will have someone at each of the four entrances shown below to scan you in from 8:15 to 9:30 AM. Of course, if you normally park there, you may enter the lot anytime, as usual.

  • Lansing Center Parking -  Although parking is available at the Lansing Center, it is limited.  Staff are encouraged to utilize other parking options and leave the available parking for those with mobility concerns.  Those who need to park at the Lansing Center can submit the cost for reimbursement.

What about getting to and from the Lansing Center?

  • The walk from the Stabenow Buidling to the Lansing Center is approximately 0.6 miles.  "Walking Trains" will also be leaving the Stabenow Building to go to the Lansing Center between 8:45 am and 9:30 am.

  • For those unable to walk, and opt not to park at the Lansing Center, a bus will be making 3 shuttle trips (8:45, 9:00, 9:15) from the main Stabenow Building entrance (east side) to the Lansing Center. Shuttle vans (6 seats) will be  available to shuttle people back to the Stabenow Building after the event. Meet the vans in front of the Lansing Center on Michigan Avenue. It will likely be much quicker to walk back.

How will travel and reimbursement work?

  • EGLE is planning to pay directly for all hotel rooms for employees that meet the criteria for the hotel block.  Note that the hotel will ask for a personal credit card to cover any incidentals.  All other expenses should be submitted using your division's normal travel reimbursement process. Staff are encouraged to minimize expenses wherever possible by using state vehicles for inter-city travel, carpooling with other staff, and using recommended parking options.

  • Staff reimbursements should follow standard department policy for travel reimbursement. Staff who meet the requirements to reserve in EGLE's hotel block will be paid for directly by the Executive Office, as will the parking costs for the Pine Street parking lot, which is intended for non-Lansing-based staff. If you have questions, please contact the Budget Liaison for your division. Budget Liaisons have been briefed on how to handle reimbursements related to the All Staff Meeting. .

Who is eligible for lodging reimbursement?

  • Staff whose official workstation is Cadillac, Gaylord, or Marquette
  • Managers and Supervisors whose official workstation is over 50 miles away from Lansing and will be attending both the Manager/Supervisor Workshop and the All Staff Meeting

Are there personal care spaces?

There will be 2 personal care spaces available at the All Staff Meeting for staff who require these spaces (e.g., lactation, prayer). To access these spaces, please visit the information table, which will be on the left side of the ballroom if you are facing the stage. Staff at this table will have a sign-in sheet for using these spaces and will be able to direct you on how to use them.
