Submit Proposal to Present

The bi-annual MECC includes multiple presentations on a variety of environmental compliance topics.  EGLE is seeking a limited number of external presenters to augment the 2026 MECC.  Specifically, we are seeking presentations on the following topics:

  • New business: What are my environmental responsibilities?
  • How to conduct an environmental audit
  • Tools and technology related to scheduling, tracking, and performing of tasks to achieve environmental compliance
  • Case Studies
    • Environmental compliance (lessons learned, positive outcome, innovative compliance solutions, etc.)
    • Environmental remediation
    • Due care compliance (creative approaches or resulting in brownfield redevelopment)
    • Phase I ESA
    • Phase II ESA, environmental sampling
  • Land or resource use restrictions / institutional controls 
  • Environmental Due Diligence
    • Responsible party vs. Owner/Operator Responsibility
    • Vapor Intrusion
    • MS4, Nonpoint Source, and Groundwater Surface Water Interface (GSI)
  • Conducting assessments of infrastructure vulnerability to floding and/or climate change (specifically for industrial applications)
  • Cybersecurity
    • threats and vulnerability assessments
    • response and technology in environmental applications
  • Climate change, impacts to infrastructure, and solutions
  • Emerging Pollutants (microplastics, PFAS, pharmaceuticals, etc.) and innovations in treatment
  • Innovations in Environmental Emergency Response Technology
  • Incident response and management
  • Environmental reporting (determining applicability and compliance -- e.g., Integrated Contingency Plans; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans; Risk Management Plans; HAZMAT security Plans)


Note: All presentations will be 40 minutes including time for audience questions and answers. Presentations should not be used to promote, sell, or market a product/service.

The deadline for submission is December 15, 2025.  Those who submit accepted proposals will be notified by February.  All primary presenters will receive a complimentary full conference registration.
