Invitation to Submit a Proposal to Present

You are invited to submit a proposal to present at the 2024 Michigan Sustainability Conference on October 3-4, 2024, in Novi, Michigan.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is seeking diverse speakers to share their work advancing sustainability. MISCON is Michigan’s one-of-a-kind event designed for sustainability business professionals, sustainability community professionals, environmental staff, EHS staff, and community leaders to:

• Learn new tactics about efficient ways to map out next steps in your sustainability journey. 
• Understand how leading brands and communities are successfully embedding environmental and social purpose into their values. 
• Discover grant funding opportunities. 
• Find inspiration and peer support by meeting fellow change agents. 
• Discover best practices through peer-to-peer learning sessions. 
•  Network with local leaders who are looking to form partnerships. 

Conference sessions will include topic themes as shown below. Please review the topics to consider the category where your presentation would best fit. Authors may suggest additional topics that are not on the list, but they must fit a general topic area related to sustainability.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
Interested presenters are invited to submit one or more abstracts for oral presentation.

• Abstract submission deadline is April 28, 2024. EXTENDED TO MAY 5, 2024
• Abstract Title: Limited to 12 words.
• Abstract Length: Limited to 500 words.
• Presenter Biography: Limited to 150 words.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified in June 2024.  Presenters will receive a discounted rate to attend the full conference.
