Invitation to Submit a Proposal to Present


You are invited to submit a proposal to present at the 2025 Michigan Sustainability Conference (MISCON) on November 6-7, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Submit Proposal to Present

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is seeking diverse speakers to share their work advancing sustainability.

This year’s conference sessions will highlight Food Waste Reduction and Diversion and proposals for sessions related to this topic are highly encouraged for submission. This includes but is not limited to composting, food rescue, food waste source reduction, food upcycling, food waste reduction technology, and food waste education. Additional topics must fit the following general topic areas related to sustainability:

  • Communications
  • Green Communities 
  • Research and Innovation 
  • Renewable Energy and Alternate Fuels 
  • Social Impacts 
  • Employee Culture

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Interested presenters are invited to submit one or more abstracts for oral presentation.

Submit Proposal to Present

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified in June 2025.  Presenters will receive a discounted rate to attend the full conference.
