The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy is offering training on the Michigan Lead and Copper Rule to drinking water operators and administrators. The focus will be on assisting community water systems that are required to conduct lead and copper sampling.

REGISTRATION FEE: $25 for all sessions ($5 discount), or $10 per session. 

Continuing Education Credits (CECs):  Each session is approved for 0.1 CECs in the Technical Category for Drinking Water and Wastewater Operators.

Tuesday, September 13, 2022, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Session 1 - Site Selection/Sampling Plans 

This webinar will explain requirements for site selection and sampling plans for Lead and Copper monitoring. EGLE staff will guide drinking water operators through the Lead and Copper site selection and the form used for sampling plans so that water supplies maintain compliance for lead and copper under the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Session 2 - Sampling

EGLE staff will guide drinking water operators through the Lead and Copper sampling and the submission of samples so that water supplies maintain compliance for lead and copper under the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Session 3 - Reporting 

This webinar will explain requirements and deadlines for reporting Lead and Copper drinking water results after a scheduled monitoring round is complete. EGLE staff will guide drinking water operators through the Lead and Copper Report forms for timely completeness, so that water supplies maintain compliance for lead and copper under the Safe Drinking Water Act.
